Residencies (from Saturday eve to the next Saturday noon for 240 Euro R&B) should be reserved by mid to late April at contact us. . .The courses are 200 Euro and run from Sunday afternoons through Friday evening participant concerts at the Cultural Center of the Compito.
To reserve your residency, please include your chosen dates, name, discipline, interests you would like addressed during your week(s), address, & email address. As you see from the map below, we are a very close distance (train to Lucca) from either Pisa or Florence airports, and it is also easy & very reasonable to take the train up to Pisa/Lucca from Rome airport.

Vikas Deo (Chicago) "3 Pieces for Harp on the North Indian Raag Ahir Bhairav". Premieres of these works will take place in NY and Italy during the 2013-2014 season. We wish to thank everyone who participated with exceptionally high level compositions cross-cultural and innovatrive compositions for furthering the development of musical communications.
Counterpoint International Competition 2014
Compositions for
a) flute solo
b) organ, piano or harpsichord solo
c) flute with any keyboard instrument
d) flute, cello, and keyboard instrument
e) cello solo
f) cello and keyboard instrument
g) cello and flute
h) electronics may be added to any of the above instrumental choices
Contest Rules:
Works may not have been already awarded in other contests. However, the work may have had a previous performance.
There is no age limit for entrants, and more than one composition per composer is permitted.

Closing Date is March 15, 2014
Prizes: First, second, third, prizes are to be given, with the option of honorable mentions in extremely close decisions. The prizes are performances in NY and Italy, with other options as made available. . .

Please send hard copies of works and explanatory note using a pseudonym or keyword (or one pdf to Muzarte@msn.com). Send in a sealed annex, personal data: name, sddress, phone, email, a brief curriculum vitae and photo.
Send one brief note explaining composition's origins, sources, techniques used, and other descriptions (one page maximum) to be used as program notes for the performances, along with application fee of 50 euros banknote or US dollar equivalent money order or check payable to Linda Wetherill, comptroller and general director.
